About SA Auto Repair

Who we are
SA Auto Repair is an independent garage in Unit 1 at 1541 Star Top Road, Ottawa, ON K1B 3W5. The building is in the Cyrville industrial area of old Gloucester, a short turn off Highway 417 at Exit 112 (Innes Road).
What we work on
The everyday jobs that keep a car on the road in Ottawa. Oil changes, brake repair, tire swaps and flat repairs, batteries, shocks and struts, A/C and heat, mufflers and exhaust, tune ups, engine repair, rustproofing, and the Ontario safety inspection for the DriveON certificate. When a warning light comes on and nobody knows why, the $50 computer scan is where the visit starts. The full list is on the services page.
Two things we do not do. We do not tow, so a car that will not start has to be towed or driven in. We also have no alignment machine, so if new tie rods or struts mean the car needs an alignment, we tell you and you book that somewhere else.
How a visit works
You describe the problem. That can happen on the phone, at the counter, or in the booking form, where you can add up to 4 photos of a warning light, a leak or a worn tire. The more you tell us about when it happens, cold or warm, at speed or over bumps, the faster we get to the cause.
We check the car. For a noise, that means a test drive and a look underneath. For a warning light, a scan and then testing the part the code points to, because a code tells you which system complained, not which part failed.
We call you with a price. You hear what we found, what it costs, and what can safely wait until next month. Nothing is replaced until you agree.
Prices out in the open
The common jobs have posted prices: $50 for a computer scan, $55 for a regular oil change, synthetic from $100, $20 for a flat repair, $50 for a tire swap on rims, $100 off rims, $140 or $180 for rustproofing, $150 for a tune up and $240 for the Ontario safety. They are the same prices you see when you book, and they are listed with what they cover on the prices page. Work that depends on the car, like brakes, is quoted after we look.
Hours and language
The shop is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 6pm and Saturday from 9:30am to 2pm. Sunday is closed. The phone is answered in English and in French at (613) 744-1521, and you can book online at any hour.

Is SA Auto Repair a dealership?
